TRAVEL TEAMS

HAYAA offers competitive travel teams.  Boys in 3rd-8th grade and girls in 5th-8th grade (4th grade girls may try out for the 5th grade team).  Players wishing to tryout must still register with HAYAA.  If you are not selected for a travel team, your registration will carry over to our in-house program and you are required to attend the MANDATORY evaluations for the in-house program.  Please see the charts for travel tryout dates, times and locations.  Also see the chart for the in-house player evaluations.  If you do not make the travel team and choose not to play in HAYAA, you must request a refund no later than the in-house evaluation date.  There will be no refunds issued after this date.

The fee for travel teams will vary.  An estimated cost is between $500-$650.  You must register for HAYAA Basketball and pay the $140 registration fee ($170 with late fee).  All additional costs will be determined by, and payable to, your head coach.

Please bring a ball to travel tryouts.

If you have any questions about the travel program and the fees, please contact:

MIDDLE SCHOOL BASKETBALL & HAYAA BASKETBALL

For boys and girls who are trying out for the middle school team - you can still play in HAYAA.  The HAYAA season will run the opposite of the school season.  For the girls, you will play HAYAA from September thru December.  For the boys, you will play HAYAA from January thru March (possibly December practices).  You are able to practice with your HAYAA team during the school season as long as you choose school practice/games first.

This is the same whether you are playing in the travel league, rec-travel league or in house league.
