HAYAA Basketball Assistant Boys In-House Commissioner Needed!!!

The HAYAA Basketball Board is need of a volunteer to help fill the Assistant Boy In-House Commissioner position.  Without volunteers to help run the league, the league CAN NOT exist.  The current and past board members have put too much time and effort into the league to let it fail and this is where we need your help.  The time commitment varies based on the position you would be interested in. 

Description: The Assistant Boys Basketball Commissioner oversees the
In-house Boy’s Rec teams from Freshmen through Varsity.  The Assistant
Boys Commissioner runs the in-house evaluations, creates the in-house teams,
recruits in-house coaches, works with the in-house coaches on any issues
throughout the season, works on scheduling practice/games for the in-house
teams and attends a few of the in-house games throughout the season.  You
need to be good with excel to sort the date when making the teams too.

This position does not take too much time once the season is
going.  Most of the work is done in Oct & Nov with evaluations, making
the teams, finding coaches and getting the schedules out (community ed puts the practice
schedule and game schedule together). 

The Board needs to fill the following positions as soon as possible to ensure the league can be maintained for the 2010-2011 HAYAA Basketball Season.  If you are interested, please contact me at chadwick1875@yahoo.com .

General Tasks of the Board: 

• Determine the overall design of the program
  
• Set all rules and regulations, follow league rules
  
• Establish a budget, and stay within the budget with spending
  
• Set registration fees and date, uniforms for the program
  
• Purchase and maintain assets of the organization
  
• Make all decisions for selection of coaches
  
• Communicate organization information to the Community
  
• Conduct monthly meetings – post on web site
  
• Evaluate the program yearly for improvements/changes
  
• Appoint other positions as needed
